Olga Slavkina’s life journey has taken her through many academic and professional experiences from top universities, to international organizations, corporations, brand consulting and fine art.
Known as artist Uslada in the art world (www.uslada.art), she started painting in 2011 when her natural artistic talents fully awakened after attending a meditation retreat in Tuscany, Italy. Since then, she has been creating an abundant artistic universe with the main focus on her life-affirming visual art, which extends its messages of beauty and empowerment also through poetry, videos and electronic music.
Prior to embarking upon the artistic path, Olga had earned a Master's degree in International Relations from The Fletcher School in Boston, which she attended as a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright scholarship, as well as an MBA from the top ranked IE Business School in Madrid where she specialized in marketing, strategy and luxury goods.
Upon receiving her MBA, she ran a brand strategy consultancy Schmoozy Fox, with focus on brand building, creative art direction, new product launches and marketing strategy. Having attracted a lot of public attention through her blog about Funky Brands, Olga got noticed in academic circles, and was invited to co-author a case study about Schmoozy Fox (together with Dr Adriana Campelo) which was published in a seminal study on anthropomorphic (avatar) marketing by Routledge (Schmoozy Fox: Standing Out from the Pack. Brown, Stephen and Ponsonby-McCabe, Sharon, eds. Brand Mascots: And Other Marketing Animals, Abingdon: Routledge).
Olga’s personal interests include travel, psychology and spirituality. She’s a certified Reiki healer and avid practitioner of various meditation and visualisation modalities. Olga’s personal mission is to inspire people to become self-actualized by tapping into the transformational force of creativity.
